Katherine K. Sherman, Ph.D.

Dr. Sherman is a licensed clinical psychologist who specializes in the assessment and treatment of preschool children, school-aged children, and adolescents. She works with a wide range of developmental problems, including behavioral disorders, AD/HD, anxiety disorders, and adjustment to changes in family life. Dr. Sherman specializes in working with youth with acute and chronic medical conditions, such as diabetes.

She possesses specialty training in evidence-based treatments like Parent-Child Interaction Therapy. Dr. Sherman includes parents in therapy from the initial consultation so that she can collaborate with the entire family, the child’s school, and outside health care providers. Psychological assessment may assist with the creation of a customized treatment plan that may include working with other staff at Family Psychology Associates.

Dr. Sherman obtained her Ph.D. in clinical psychology at the University of Florida, completed an internship at the Mailman Center for Child Development at the University of Miami, and completed a fellowship at Kosair Children’s Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. She relocated to Clearwater, FL after four years as a psychologist at a pediatric private practice in Louisville, KY.
