Maggie Hektoen, LMHC, brings a wealth of experience and expertise to her counseling practice, specializing in children and adolescents. With two decades of counseling experience in the Chicago area, Ms. Hektoen has devoted over a decade of her career to serving the Pasco County community. Her dedication lies in assisting individuals in addressing various challenges, encompassing anxiety, depression, physical and medical issues, grief, ADHD/ODD, and relationship difficulties. Her therapeutic approach is versatile, primarily rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and she places a strong emphasis on practical, goal-oriented solutions to address immediate concerns. 

Ms. Hektoen obtained her counseling degree from Governors State University in Chicago, with a specialization in counseling parents/children/adolescents. Her extensive professional experience includes providing counseling services to school-aged students in various settings, both within and outside of schools. Additionally, she worked as a therapist at St. Margaret Mercy Hospital’s intensive child/adolescent inpatient therapy unit.. 

Ms. Hektoen possesses a varied career background that encompasses positions as a Federal Probation Officer, Mental Health Therapist, and School Counselor. Her steadfast commitment to mental health shines through, and she finds immense satisfaction in witnessing her clients as they progress towards reaching their fullest potential on their paths to well-being.
