Izmini is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who provides services to children, adolescents, teens and adults, addressing ADHD, anger, oppositional/defiant behaviors, anxiety, grief, depression, PTSD, adjusting to separation/divorce and addiction. Understanding every person is unique,  Izmini   works closely with children and their families to create a collaborative, individualized approach to therapy, empowering them with the tools necessary to reach their goals.

Izmini went to Gwinnett Tech for Early Childhood Education, following her passion to work with children. After 2 years, she saw that her interests were with the children who were struggling in the classroom with attention/focus, bullying, and other situations impacting their learning. Izmini went on to get certified as a Child Development Specialist which changed her path. She got her Bachelor’s in Psychology with a Minor in Criminology and her Masters of Social Work degree from Kennesaw State University in Georgia.

Izmini’s experience with trauma work began in a residential home for young adults where she identified the positive correlation between trauma and addiction. As a result,  Izmini  began to treat addiction of all types, including: cutting, alcohol, drugs, food, and shopping, as well as the impact our devices have on mental health.

For the past 5 years, she has been working with youth in Pasco and Pinellas county schools. Izmini’s work in community based mental health has provided her with experience working with high risk youth and adults; collaborating with physicians, psychiatrists, teachers, courts and DCF case workers, ensuring the best client care has always been a top priority. Her work includes individual therapy, psychoeducation, family therapy, and parent management skills.
