Ron Peal, Ph.D.

Dr. Peal is a licensed psychologist who has been in private practice for over 25 years. He works with adults. In addition, he works with couples and families.

Prior to going into private practice, Dr. Peal was the director of a residential program for emotionally disturbed children and adolescents. He also has had considerable experience with weight reduction issues (including pre-gastric bypass surgery psychological evaluations), spinal cord stimulator implants, chronic pain issues, disability issues, gay and lesbian issues, PTSD issues and stress management. He has done research on death and dying issues.

Dr. Peal attended the University of Michigan where he majored in Psychology then earned his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from St. Louis University in St. Louis Missouri. He completed a residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, Texas.

Dr. Peal was a Boy Scout leader for a number of years and enjoys wilderness hiking, camping and exploring the mountains of New Mexico. He is also very interested and quite knowledgeable about physical health and wellness issues (both from traditional and non-traditional natural perspective). He also has an interest in and a great deal of experience in the positive impact of personal fitness on mental health.
