Sharon Miller, LCSW, MVF-CSW
Sharon is a licensed clinical social worker, educator, and behavior support consultant. She is a graduate of Eastern New Mexico University and New Mexico Highlands University in New Mexico; and has several years’ experience working in military, educational and mental health settings specifically with children, Military service members, Veterans, and their families. Additionally, Sharon has experience working with individuals with disabilities, individuals with autism spectrum disorder, and is an LGBTQIA ally.
In addition to traditional face-to-face appointments in an office setting, Sharon also strives to meet the technical needs of clients by using a combination of electronic platforms, including secure video and telephonic sessions. When working with clients, Sharon utilizes several approaches and customizes the treatment to meet the individual’s needs within the therapeutic setting. Sharon utilizes traditional approaches of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Brief Solution-Focused Therapy and has been trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Sharon has extensive trauma-informed experience working with individuals from domestic violence, child abuse/neglect, sexual assault, PTSD, and those with trauma experienced in helping professions. Sharon can also use non-traditional/holistic approaches in treatment in conjunction such as mindfulness and Emotional Freedom Technique/Tapping Therapy.
